A short walk, he said.
We set off early to walk from Radovlija to Lake Bled, through spectacular country that changed from forrests and rivers, to flat farmland, with tiny villages along the way.

At last, our destination was in sight.

You can see the hay drying rack here – they’re everywhere in Slovenia.

It was around 10km – phew!
And at the end, this was our reward.

Much enjoyed.

Lake Bled
Fairytale land.

Our fondest memory of the day at Lake Bled was meeting Bobi, a French artist we found perched on a low wall along the edge of the Lake. He had an assortment of postcard size watercolours of the Lake – we had to buy one. He then sat and inked a portrait of both of us – a memorable souvenir we have on our wall.
We had walked up quite an appetite but chose a light lunch – Calamari and a Greek Salad, while enjoying some local beer.
It had been a long day so a bus back to Radovlija was the best option.
